Any Old Cowboy Dream Track

Any Old Cowboy Dream (Larry W. Jones 11/16/2006) (song#4151)
I opened my eyes, opened the shutters
Looked at the corral to see what was the matter
Far, far away, horses were speeding
But the ranch was still sleeping
Any old cowboy dream will do
|
I put on my duster coat, with drover’s lining
Snowflakes were shining, as the blizzard blew
And in the west, lightning was breaking
An awful noise it was making
Any old cowboy dream will do
|
A crash of thunder, moments of fright
My duster coat went sailing out of sight
I was chilled to the bone
Standing there alone
|
Back to my dream’s beginning, it occurred true
That dream now was dimming, as the herd was too
A cowboy’s world and I, a dream creating
Now it’s hesitating
Now, any old cowboy dream will do
|
A crash of thunder, moments of fright
My duster coat went sailing out of sight
I was chilled to the bone
Standing there alone
|
Back to my dream’s beginning, it occurred true
That dream now was dimming, as the herd was too
A cowboy’s world and I, a dream creating
Now it’s hesitating
Now, any old cowboy dream will do
