Silver Pines first album, "Forces" is a dripping heavy melieu of watery female vocals, drowsy percussion, and ghostly slide guitars. The ensemble makes country music from space, it seems, creating bubbling, forest-creek textures upon which lead singer Stefanie Franciotti's assertive vocals float effortlessly. A bright psychedelic lantern in a dark, deep-woods cabin.
