Hi ,
My name is Damiano Baldoni, and I've been composing music for over 20 years. I started at the age of 16, when I was hired to work for m2o under the pseudonym "Wolf," but my journey has been full of challenges. One experience that deeply marked me was when, as a young adult and still a naive kid, I thought I was composing music for MechWarrior. I was told it would be used for the game, but after a few issues, I discovered that the tracks I had poured so much passion into were instead used for a modest podcast about the game. I felt almost cheated, and this experience left a lasting impression on me.
In 2016, I decided to upload my music to Free Music Archive, and incredibly, some of my tracks were used in playlists that reached millions of listens in China, Japan, and the United States. This gave me immense pride, but also frustration, as I never earned a single cent from all of this.
I’ve never wanted to exploit the music market and have always been opposed to capitalism. What I want is to find a more ethical way to live off my art, and I believe the solution may lie in Content ID, which allows me to earn in a fair and direct way from the use of my music.
Now, I want to return to doing what I love, and your music could be the perfect soundtrack for your content. I have uploaded some of my tracks to TikTok (you can find the links to the sounds below), and they are also available on Free Music Archive if you prefer to download them.
