Why didn’t I tell you to stay?
It just didn’t feel like my place to say
I thought to wait it out to another day
But I fear I may have turned you away

The best for us both, with Godspeed

You are my ideal woman, perfectly
You’re complete; you really impress me
Your honesty, especially
I’m begging you to stay, on bended knee

I’m trying to think clear
It’s so difficult when you’re not here
I keep telling myself that you’ll reappear
But I can’t hide the fear that you may disappear

Could I change your mind?
Oh God, if I could just rewind
This is the love I deeply wanted to find
If you leave I’ll be back in the same bind

Please, just give it some more time
I know it’s a tough mountain to climb
But if you leave, it would be such a crime
It would be just another broken rhyme

Please stay, don’t go away…

I wish I could go back and tell you to stay
I swear, I’ll make it all okay

I guess I’ll just leave it up to fate
But it may all be too little too late
