When free speech is measured in dollars
Only the richest are heard
Democracy gets smaller and smaller
The American Dream is deferred
The markets are rigged for the wealthy
But they're not going to silence us here
Come bring us your hearts and your spirits
It's time for a new frontier

We're fighting off corporate greed
We're only as strong as our weakest
We'll fight until everyone's free

The hours I trade for a paycheck
Are the least of what matters to me
I do what I do as a human
And the best of it I do for free
I learn, I heal, and I invent
I educate, write, and make new
Nobody pays me to do this
We everyday people just do

Our country is made up of people
All the value we add to our lives
The sharing, the caring, the loving
That make our communities thrive
Our energy expended without pay
Investments that nobody counts
