Birthday Hawk Track

Feb. the 10th and the Daley Ranch
Running the trail at mid speed
Shoosh sound comes from the left side
Darting across….the periphery

Just had new glasses upon my face, still couldn’t believe my eyes
Birthday hawk right in front of me, down in the bush and after the mice
Out of the bush, the mouse didn’t die
Out of the bush, the hawk is alright

Seeing the hawk try and fail
Make-me-think I should live life at full speed
Braving the thorns in the metaphorical bush
