This song was written in 2007.
This is one of my all time favorite songs. The structure of the song is quite loose, like Bohemian Rhapsody, and the build up at the end is very intense, especially if you know that the end part is a reference to the Perpetual Trip and also to the character of 3rd Chord Factor (albums to be released at some point in the future).
Every time I listen to this song, by the time the last boom boom ends the song, my heart is beating like crazy.
A great way to end an album.
The calmness takes a while to see
If only I'd stop looking for me
I would hear the softest sounds
As the story unfolds the rounds
If I sit and sway with the mood
I'd be all filled up and wouldn't mind the rude
Forget for me that pasture
Don't deny me the rapture
Even if I don't understand
Tell me anyways
Tell me and...
Don't go crying there in the corner
Don't carry on denying that I'd carry on my shoulder
Your pains and your griefs
Your stains and the leaves of your pages
Rest easy now, let your fears remain
Let them run around but don't let them strain
Let them be here and there, let them be
Just forget about them now, listen to me
Wait here on the floor mindless child
I'm going in the other room a while
I'm just getting ice cream and some drinks
We'll talk all evening
Give me parts of your story
Leave the things that fly
I wouldn't mind how ever much it changes
By the time you actually say it
One! Two! Three! Four!
I knew once a person
Who had a song
But no one would listen
So he threw it in the sun
War came to the city
Fire knew the sky
Through the falling timbers
On the thought he would die
He ran to the forest
Far from the cries
He lived in a cavern
There was no one inside
Time
Shine
Sublime
And free
