Formed in 1975,
Throbbing Gristle are thee premiere Industrial/art/noise pioneers, with
influence that has reached into almost every corner of modern
experimental, and even popular music, visuals and culture. They
disbanded in 1981 with members moving on to projects like Psychic TV,
Coil, and Chris and Cosey, until reuniting in 2004. The reformed
Throbbing Gristle are the premiere Industrial/art/noise pioneers,
playing their first ever NYC shows (Brooklyn Masonic Temple dates are
sold out, but a night at Manhattan's Le Poisson Rouge has been added
April 17) land the lineup of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Cosey Fanni
Tutti, Chris Carter, and Peter Christopherson will be chatting here in
WFMU's studios, playing unreleased recordings and taking your live
phone calls on Strength Through Failure!
