Metalux is M.V. Carbon and J. Graf
Portraying physical and architecturally improbable spatial themes, Metalux seeks to situate the individual within a tangled web of technological interfaces. Their music can be heard as abstract sonic fiction. The processed human voice, with manipulated guitars, bass and samples, depicts a fictional engagement
with the environment. Instruments alternate in carrying dominant themes, rhythm and melody. Metalux employs the use of rock music, only to suggest their compositions’ distant relationship to pop music. Using modified electronic instruments, bass, guitars, vocals and percussion, Metalux expands pre-written ideas with improvisation.
