Phthalo is a very chill experience, with vocals awash in cascading waves of electronic sound. My favorite track here is “Tosmacco” which (alongside “Smash Adams”) is one of the more hard-hitting tracks on offer. A consistent, excellent release from LKOY.

“Phthalo was recorded in tandem with Skullduggery, countering the latter’s saturated acoustics with digital synths and video game soundfonts. Being my first earnest attempt at vocals over non-guitar music, they were performed and mixed more as a background accompaniment. The cover artwork was illustrated by Quianna Fick, who also contributed vocals to the song ‘Lead Zeppelin’.”
