Description

Jazz-inflected guitar with heavily edgy but atmospheric overtones is how you might describe Mark Wingfield's performance style. Wingfield is based in the UK, and frequently collaborates with Kevin Kastning, a master of multi-stringed contra-guitars. Mark and Kevin recently released "Eleven Rooms," a collaborative album inspired by the art of Johannes Vermeer. Mark Wingfield and Kevin Kastning visited WFMU to celebrate the album's release and recorded a set of improvisational guitar pieces for Irene's show.
