Christian Richer (Element Kuuda) is an ambient sound artist who has been steadily researching analogue technologies and the production and dissemination of sound via synthesizers, magnetic tape and digitally modified recordings. An emerging electro-acoustic composer and synth, reel to reel and laptop performer, he has been building and deconstructing sound
loops for live presentations and audio recordings, creating multi-textured environments, atmospheric – and at times unsettling – spaces with, and through, sound. Richer has released albums with independent labels (Hobo Cult, Digitalis, Sacred Phrases, Sul Pont and Magnanimous), has composed soundtracks for art videos, short films and animation projects, and has performed his dynamic and captivating ambient sets in Canada, USA, Sardinia, Germany and UK.
