Dark Meat

With a rotating cast of up to 15 band members, Athens Georgia quasi-culty weirdos Dark Meat pull their schoolbus into the WFMU parking lot and leave a trail of glitter and 99-cent store tchotchkes in their wake. The band plays horn-heavy, coked-up hippie-sing-along southern rock laced with soul, punk, and free jazz freakouts. It's like a Mardi Gras hangover in August.
