Midnight Cleaners Album

On Midnight Cleaners (1982), their third self-released cassette, the Cleaners from Venus further refined their spontaneous, rough-hewn psychedelic pop. However, it would utlimately mark the last recordings of the band's core duo -- chief songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Martin Newell and drummer and co-contributor Lol Elliot -- whose fruitful collaboration burns brightest on this shimmering and eerie masterpiece.  Brooklyn-based label Captured Tracks reissued the cassette on LP in April of 2012.
