The Claremont Trio
is one of the most exciting young groups performing today. “Their
exuberant performance and gutsy repertoire ... was the kind of fresh
approach that keeps chamber music alive,” raves the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Winners of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions and the
first winners of the Laredo Robinson International Trio Award, the
Claremont Trio has performed in major venues throughout the nation,
including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Merkin Hall and the
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. They made their debut at the Gardner
Museum as part of the Young Artists Showcase, and have since returned as performers in the Sunday Concert Series,
and performed a series of concerts of the complete Beethoven piano
trios, ending in September 2006. Twin sisters Emily and Julia Bruskin
grew up in Cambridge and formed the trio with pianist Donna Kwong in
1999 while studying at the Juilliard School.
