Possimiste (8 Albums, 17 Tracks)
Possimiste is a young, on-the-rise alt-pop artist based from Iceland. Her “fairy-tale” pop sound embodies her quirky, new-age/hippie spirit. Listeners are entranced by her whimsical world. Her music has been in videos for Vogue, Wall Street Journal, Design Within Reach and many more. Now, Possimiste is working on her debut album, hoping to grace listeners in the near future.
Growing up in Estonia the future singer -producer and visual artist was always reminded that the freedom to dream and be yourself is a gift that some of us could never have - and she never forgot that. Days spent in the fantasy world, endless hikes through home forests and a little bit freaky lullabies she was sung as a kid became inseparable part of Possimiste who started her musical journey when she was a three-year-old girl. Today the young artist has often been named as the founder of fairy-tale pop genre. At only 15 she gave out her first self-produced single and was immediately discovered by Bad Panda Records net label that in 2011 released the second official digital single “Behind The Seas”. With the latter Possimiste won the hearts of many music bloggers, alternative pop lovers and other musical and visual artists. The single itself has until today remained one of the most downloaded Creative Commons songs on the internet with more than 300 000 downloads. After releasing her first EP/story-book “Wanderer” (2013) Possimiste moved to Iceland to focus on writing her (yet unreleased) debut album, an emotional diary of a 21st century’s hippie in search of her roots, real love and “the unexplainable” magical powers the human kind has forgotten about. At the same time she still kept putting out independent singles and music videos. Since winning The UK Amazing Radio´s Alternative Eurovision in 2015 Possimiste’s songs have scored numerous award-winning films and advertisements including Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, Design Within Reach, Spell Designs to name just a few. She has also collaborated with various artists around the world including one of today´s most successful modern-classical composers Oskar Schuster and Barry Snaith (of The Strangeways,The Inconsistent Jukebox). Her most recent works with the Slovakian producer Analogrunner were chosen among “The Best Songs of 2016” by Beehype Music Magazine and nominated in “Single of the year” category at Slovakia´s most renowned music awards “Radio Head Awards 2016”.
