Galactic Fandango was made for patron Case and his Star Wars podcast, and the brief clearly involved a love of space adventure that doesn't take itself entirely seriously - which turned out to be an excellent creative brief. A full orchestra provides the cinematic scale that space adventure demands, funky guitars add an unexpected groove element that immediately distinguishes the track from generic sci-fi scoring, and spacey synths contribute the electronic texture that the setting requires. The result is simultaneously serious and frivolous - grand enough to soundtrack genuine adventure, but with enough personality and wit to suggest that the characters involved are rather enjoying themselves.
