Cheese Greater is enormous in the way that only music that has absolutely no interest in being subtle can be. Big, crashy drums arrive first and establish the general principle - that this track is going to be large, loud, and in charge - whilst a screeching synth leadline provides melodic content of a similarly uncompromising character. The tempo sits slightly slower than peak drum and bass, which gives everything a bit more weight and menace. And then, as if to prove a point, a string section turns up. This is either brilliant or ridiculous, and the correct answer is both simultaneously. The result is boisterous, driving, intensely energetic, and rather good.
