loving a country
means refusing to excuse
what is being done in its name.

You can love Israel
and despise the killing of innocent people.
You can love Israel
and condemn the destruction of homes,
the displacement of families,
the denial of dignity,
the suffering of children.

You can love the Israeli people
without supporting every decision
made by its leaders
And you can love the Jewish people
without believing that Jewish lives
are worth more than Palestinian lives.
