Escape from the Prison Planet Track

I ran into the shuttlebay as fast as I could

it was a matter of seconds, as I well understood

The ship around us destructing,

in the pod we made our escape

the four of us, all from the same place

and no-one in any great shape

So I got what I wanted, but how far will I go?

The future shrouded in darkness

there's just no way to know

In the pod with me the vicar, the big blonde boy and the cook

twiddling our thumbs and killing time

by taking turns to read out loud

passages from the vicar's holy book

Maybe someone will find us, or

maybe we're better off_dead

Maybe we'll reach some distant shore

or end up in a black hole instead

Our predicament is dire

no cause for celebration

out of fuel, we're drifting rubbish

unknown stars our destination
