Beyond the Outer Reaches Track

beyond the outer reaches of uncharted space
a secret awaits for its finder
the big wheel's turning slowly, but the time is drawing near
when circumstances make it spin much faster

it gets them where they can be found
swallows them and spits back out
sends them from the light back into the darkness
long ago the plans were laid
now the opening move is made
the alternatives are triumph or disaster

some will stand to gain a lot
some will lose all they've got
there is no escaping from the vortex
long ago the plans were laid
now the opening move is made
the alternatives are triumph or disaster
