Mary Lorson performs on Irwin's program Weds. August 31. Mary was vocalist in the bands Madder Rose and Saint Low, and currently fronts Mary Lorson and the Soubrettes. She'll perform songs from her forthcoming album, "Burn Baby Burn." Lorson will also discuss her musical play-in-progress, "Freak Baby and the Kill
Thought," about vaudeville wildwoman Eva Tanguay, who Lorson describes as "the first iconic, self-defined, out-of-control American female star. She was to Sarah Bernhart what Janis Joplin was to Helen Hayes--enthralling but dark and kind of crazy."
