"Pioneer" is almost too weak of a word for the Millington sisters. Back in the early '70s, they fronted Fanny, the first all-female band to be signed to a major label--and one of the first all-female rock bands, period! Over the course of five albums and hundreds of live shows, Fanny paved the way for other "sisters" who wanted to do it for themselves. Jean and June are back with a new album, "Play Like a Girl," and they will be visiting Surface Noise to play some songs and chat a little about their career in music."
