Brazilian-born cellist, singer and songwriter Dom La Nena returns to WFMU. Dom studied classical cello in Paris and Buenos Aires before taking up her first pop gig playing with Jane Birkin. That two year stint produced her desire to write and record her own pop gems. Her first release ELA was a gorgeous mix of influences from Brazil, Paris, Argentina, classical music, and pop. With Dom la Nena's second release SOYO, she is singing in Portugese, Spanish, French and English. This record continues her modern take on making gorgeous music.
