Irish singer-songwriter Brigid Mae Power has been singing her thoughtful, intimate songs for several years now, originally self-recording them in churches and underground car parks. In the summer of 2016, her first studio-recorded, widely distributed album, the self-titled Brigid Mae Power, was released on Tompkins Square Records. Its eight jewel-like selections showcase the haunting melodies and stirring singing that make her such a distinctive new voice in music. Hear Brigid sing and play unique solo versions of songs from the album in this session for Surface Noise with Joe McGasko.
