Biography
Hi there! My name is Myra Russell. I am a professional composer, music producer, and artist. Hailing from the multicultural utopia of New York, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Industry Studies with a concentration in Sound Recording Technology from the illustrious Elizabeth City State University.
During my time there as a music major and percussionist, I studied acoustics and developed my music composition skills by experimenting with various music theory techniques. With every piece I wrote, such beautiful music emerged from my creativity and that’s when I knew I had a gift. I have always been amazed by nature and the ebb and flow of life. That magical essence can be felt in my music.
In 2020, I inevitably conceptualized an original genre called Rhythmic Ambience, which became the name of the album series. It’s quirky, fun, mysterious, and exciting to listen to. Rhythmic Ambience, Volumes 1 & 2 are a compilation of 10 melodic themes done in 2 variations, for a total of 20 songs. Each track tells a story with its instrumentation and dynamics.
If you’re ready for a new, refreshing sound, be prepared. The entire lineup is perfect for use in film, dance, spiritual healing, and therapeutic applications. It is my pleasure to present to you a work of pure wonder.
