Biography
Dust Devices is the experimental electronic music project of Cláudio Oliveira, a composer and
sound designer from Porto, Portugal.
Since his first EP “Spectre Research” he has been blending the rhythmic influences from Industrial,
EBM, Techno and Electro with cinematic textures, atmospheres and melodies derived from un-
conventional synthesis techniques.
He’s been able to showcase his music in multiple national and international venues and events,
including the festivals Sonar, Semibreve and Neopop, and as a regular contributor for vinyl and
digital releases of labels like Zodiak Commune Records, Diffuse Reality, Rapture and Mera.
“Spine Mirror”, his latest full-lenght album, extends those sonic explorations into a more disso-
nant, abrasive and mechanical approach, while breaking down and rearranging the compositional
core of those genres.
Without losing sight of the elements that ignite a dancefloor, the narrative and evolving character
of the music are the main focus of this project.
