Twelve café tracks that split three ways: six acid jazz cuts with real grooves, two blues shuffles, and four quiet pieces for rooms where the music should not be noticed at all. The acid jazz half is the loudest thing in the catalogue so far — one cut carries the most percussion in the album, another runs three minutes nineteen without a single event, and the quickest is at full speed by the second bar. The blues pair goes the other way: one is the only shuffle here, the other is three and a half minutes at the lowest level in the set, made for closing time. Among the four quiet tracks, one has no drum kit at all while running at a hundred and fifty-two internally, one has the widest dynamic range in the album and actually breathes, and one is two minutes flat with no dynamic events whatsoever.
