Music:
While living in London, Yair had discovered the British folk music, especially the one of Bert Jansch, switched to acoustic guitar and started exploring the fingerpicking style.Upon discovering the world of acoustic instrumental music, especially the music of John Fahey and Robbie Basho, he started composing his own instrumental music, and in 2010 released his solo debut album Remember.In 2012, released his second album ‘World Behind Curtains’.
Yair was a member of several of bands as a bass player, such as Jet Sam, Buffalos and Punch. Today, he’s playing in the all-improvised kraut/noise/psych band Farthest South.
Labels:Upon returning to Israel in 2005, Yair had join The Third Ear record store in Tel Aviv, and became the manager of the store’s label – Earsay.In 2007, Yair and two partners had established the new Israeli alternative label/artists management Anova Music.In late 2011 Yair co-founded the free jazz and improvised music label OutNow Recordings (with Ido Bukelman and Yoni Kretzmer).
Other stuff:Yair writes the music blog Small Town Romance and host a radio show called Sonar in IDC radio, Israel.
