Head Wire Matthew Melton describes his band's sound as "slop-pop" or "smooth punk," the result of merging the songwriting sensibility of, say, Arthur Lee with the glam-rock production techniques of Slade or The Sweet. The result is a kind of Real Kids meets Clone Defects sound that's catchy and irresistible. Go ahead, tune in on Tuesday April 6 at 11pm and try to resist. You can also see them live on Friday the 2nd at Don Pedro's and Saturday the 3rd at Bruar Falls, both in Brooklyn; then they head back across the US to their home in Oakland. And be sure to pick up their "Artificial Clouds" album on Tic Tac Totally.
