Anticipating the summer solstice by a few weeks, NJ's Lazy Salon returns with LZY_SLN-003, a new EP of instrumental weird-world music excursions to accompany your slide into a warmer existence.
Fuzzy dub shapes, driving melodic rhythms and languid guitar work propel this set of songs forward within a hazy atmosphere.
Lazy Salon is the home-recording outlet for Sean Byrne, who in a past life was the multi-instrumentalist & vocals for the psych-pop/folk duo The Twin Atlas and former drummer with numerous Philadelphia bands including Lenola, Mazarin, BC Camplight, and others.
Lazy Salon's first two releases are also available on the Free Music Archive here.

As a major contributor to the Studio 11 music engineering team, Steve Anderson has also found time to produce his own collection of top notch tunes. Not only does Steve have a fabulous voice, he is a consumate musical producer as well. Of the innovative collections that Steve has produced, his album "Late Night Girl" best sums up his vocal abilities and production skills.

It's been quite some time since we curated one of our Best Of Breitband Compilations. Finally, here it is: Vol. 6 is ready to go on your player, smartphone, computer or wherever you may listen to music! Best Of Breitband Vol. 6 is a compilation of songs that have been featured on our radio show and podcast "Breitband", a weekly show on new media and digital culture, airing every Saturday at 2pm on German Public Radio Deutschlandradio Kultur. Every week, we play six tracks of music that can only be found on the web, most of it comes with a Creative Commons licence, allowing everyone to share the songs. We hope you will enjoy the 24 songs that are somewhere between Indie, Pop, Electronic, Folk and Hip-Hop.

In 2010, Wes Kaplan released the album Teenage High-School under the name The Craters. A self-proclaimed "100% bedroom project," this album stood it’s ground in the scene for quite some time, now having it’s name dropped in small circles of music enthusiasts (eg. “Yo, do you like The Craters?"). The album showcased a trial and error production style, using a mixture of hand-claps, electronic drum samples, synths, un-plugged electric guitar loops, vocals, and a whole bunch of effects in a minimal manner, displaying Kaplan’s songwriting in as unique a way possible. Right off the bat, Teenage High-School was agreed upon by the few who heard it as a total jam, a very brilliant listen, and at the very least, an extremely unique pop album.
