“Dean And Britta” (Used 2 times)

How many people can remember when they first fell in love?  Well, at least with music.  I do.  I remember the first time ever that I had discovered Galaxie 500.  I remember sneaking downstairs to watch MTV's 120 minutes to see what the latest and greatest new music was out there.  Galaxie 500's video for "Blue Thunder" came on and I fell in love.  At that moment, I became a fan of whatever Dean Wareham was a part of. 

I followed Galaxie 500's rise and fall, saw the birth of Luna, followed their history and am now following the beautiful partnership of Dean and Britta.  It was my tremendous pleasure to have both Dean and Britta in the studio to talk with me and play some of their music. It was like sitting down with your long lost friend and realizing you haven't changed. 

With my love comes research.  I read Dean's book, I have seen their movie of their last tour, I found out that Britta had an animated past....  I figured, if I was going to have my one chance to talk to them, I was going to delve into their history.  I asked about Britta's involvement with Jem and the Holograms and if she was still friends with Justine Bateman and Julia Roberts from her role on "Satisfaction".  I talk to Dean about the last days of Luna and the surprise of their touring being very similar to local small bands going across country.  Even making sure to find out who their obsession is, like they were of mine!
