BYZERO is a young avant-garde jazz and rock combo out of Moscow. Formed in 2009, it consists of: Alexey Bobrovsky on drums (ex- KOSTAREV GROUP, ORGANIKA), Anton Kolosov on bass (ex- KOSTAREV GROUP, ex- MOTHERFATHERS, IAD, SYNCOPATED SILENCE, etc.), Fyodor Fokin on guitar (SYNCOPATED SILENCE), and Katya Rekk on synths. These four usually team up with a saxophone player or two to create a disturbing and heavy blend of avant-garde jazz, progressive rock, hardcore, noise glitches, and modern free music. BYZERO are arguably the best and the most inventive representatives of a new generation of Russian defiant jazz-experimentalists.
