Voodoo Suite plays exotica music, an exotic combination of Latin and tropical rhythms, Asian and Polynesian music, Hawaiian love songs, and original music as well as jazz and tunes by modern composers such as Tom Waits, using vibraphone, marimba, flute, string bass, bongos, drums, a plethora of percussion instruments, ukulele, xylophone, musical saw, maracas, and vocals by Bliss Blood. They recreate the fantastic sound of 1950's exotica innovators like Martin Denny, Les Baxter, Arthur Lyman, Robert Drasnin, Sabu, Chaino, as well as writing original music in this style and weaving a hypnotic trance with the beauty of their sound. They perform at Waikiki Wally's Hawaiian Restaurant and played a long residency at Otto's Shrunken Head tiki lounge, both in Manhattan. They are the perfect band for your luau or Hawaiian theme party, they will conjure up the magic and mystery of voodoo rituals and Hawaiian honeymoons.
