The Effigies were the first hardcore punk band to come out of Chicago and they are highly regarded by rock cognoscenti for their influential crushing, dark sound. They played for a decade and broke up in 1990 but recently have reformed and will play live on Cherry Blossom Clinic just prior to their show at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ!!
