Artist
Texture is a member of the spoken word / hip-hop group Chemical Poets. He makes loop-based hip-hop, with dubstep, electro, and lo-fi rock influences. He has recorded two EPs, featuring collaborations with Morphamish, Asthmatic Astronaut, Salem Anders of Burning Bright, Kid Ritalin and Harlequinade.
Recently he contributed a verse to the Twin Lizard EP 'The Six Billion,' he also contributed vocals to the album 'Vortex Cabaret' by Harlequinade. He is currently working on new material with Krowne, Dustmotes and other producers and emcees.
In 2008 Texture recorded Future Proof with Morphamish under the name Double Helix. The album was a futuristic, science fiction-inspired blend of hip-hop, dubstep and breakbeat. Texture helped set up the Black Lantern Music in 2009, and is the curator of the site.
