Cords and Connectors by Synflict
"Cords and Connectors" lifted its name from a Supercollider tutorial, being a good description for music that has no message or symbols to convey, but exists for its own sake.
The album is a suite of seven parts where ideas evolve and fade away, tonal ranges contract and expand or shapes become clearly visible only to disappear in the fog or reverberation again.
These technical details firmly place "Cords and Connectors" in electroacoustic or acousmatic territory, though these keywords should only be considered a shorthand for the most probable of all descriptions. From calm to unrest the music remains rather dark and atonal, if only to lurk in the shadows waiting for the opportunity to jump into the scene.
