A hidden gem of the African Diaspora set in the dazzling diversity of
the musical universe of the Indian subcontinent, Sidi Goma are a group
of black sufis descended from East Africans who settled in Gujarat in
northwest India eight centuries ago. They retain their tribal sufi
devotional musical tradition, mystical and trance-inducing. Recorded
