Triggers by Melissa Laveaux
Haitian-Canadian Melissa Laveaux’s style is self-assured: a combination of folk, indie pop, and her signature percussive finger-style blues guitar. Her writing is personal, her voice youthful and sensual, but the arrangements brightly burst of creativity, placing emphasis on rhythm and electronic sounds. Now living in France, Melissa stopped by the WFMU studio during her visit to New York City to promote her 4-track EP, “Memory Is A Strange Bell.”
