“Working For The Weak End” (by Meanest Man Contest)

From boomkat:

Meanest Man Contest duo Eric Steuer and Quarterbar make something of a departure from their hip-hop roots on this adventurous pop outing. 'Some People (Just Get Off On Breaking Hearts)' is a catchy slice of electropop magic with playful synthesizer riffing and a rapped third verse. On paper, I suppose it's not unlike a Justin Timberlake song. 'I Would Leave' is rather different: a collaboration with 12k/Ghostly International artist Christopher Willits combining the laptop 'n' guitar hero's trademark granular six-string processes with a sturdy backbeat and some peculiar vocals. 'You And I' takes its basis from a degraded string sample and similarly lo-fi beats, while the instrumental outing 'Working For The Weak End' provides some solid hip-hoptronics to round things off.
