Marshall Rendina is a musician and visual artist who was born in New York City just a few blocks from Lincoln Center and on the same block as the offices of The Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. Over the past 10 years Rendina has written over 100 songs and pieces of music. He was influenced by jazz and soul early on, and then both avant-garde music and pop music. Free jazz, underground rock, minimalism, electronic music, and folk music from the United States and around the world are all currents he has felt. His music is influenced by the mystical, is often political, sometimes comical and at others very serious. He often transcends styles. Marshall is also a visual artist and often works with the same concepts visually and musically. He currently lives and works in Columbus, Ohio.
