Son of Mary by C.Strøm
This is a variation of the famous carol written by W. C. Dix in 1865 to the melody of Greensleeves.
I've made some minor adjustments to the lyrics, and my cassette-player made its own.
The source of this afro-spiritual is from the recording of Blind Lemon Jefferson and Stovepipe No. 1
Some changes have been done to the lyrics.
The final song is a norwegian folk song which I learned from the 1939 recording of Aslak Brekke and Eivind Groven. Rearranged for guitar.
The cover art is an imitation of an imitation of a painting by Carlo Dolce. The image portrays the Saint of Music, St. Cecilia, who was beheaded and beatified in the year of 230 AD.
