I’m so thrilled to be able to present to you “lenna was a test image”, the terrific new EP by BIT. This artistic collaborative’s connection to blocSonic goes all the way back to 2013 when Kirk Pearson’s Pollinate was included on netBloc Vol. 44: Break From The System That Gotcha. They’re a long time CC community favorite of ours who continuously manage to make catchy, engaging and informational music. Quite simply… meticulously researched concept music with a pop feel… appeal… to it (ok… maybe not POP… but you get my drift… right?).

A very special thanks to Kirk and the rest of BIT for creating such a terrific EP! Welcome to the blocSonic fam!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

Dear BIT,
This is probably one of the most interesting works I've heard since... Air "Moon Safari". Except that "lenna was a test image" makes me shake it in time much more than the slow stuff from those two French guys.
I'm trying hard to find anything to fault in this EP, to no avail. The tracks are playful and amazingly produced: listen carefully to the complex sounds weaved together in the background, creating very peculiar textures. The EP spans a wide range of moods: mysterious, rousing, epic... worried?
"Indian Head Test Pattern" is an instant hit, "Hello World" is amazingly sweet and gorgeous... Okay here's my problem with this one: it's way too short! I'm begging for more!
BIT just offered us a taste of Deluxe Pop. What a way to start my weekend!

Dear blocSonic: you'll be the death of me! If you keep on releasing such quality stuff I will probably die of sleep deprivation for listening to all of these excellent releases in a loop, day and night.
Nah just kiddin': keep on releasing!
