Album Description
A compilation of songs from 2004-2010 by ALAK (Jocelyn Jade Noir), starting with the first recorded song by 17-year old Noir's 2004 band 'by nite.' Also features songs by ‘Alas, alak, Alaska!’ (which included members Genaro Ulloa (formerly of Sister Crayon) and Elisabeth Wood of FANCIE) and the collaborative project ‘chorused the animals’ (which included Daniel Trudeau of Pregnant, Michael RJ Saalman of Woman Year, and Erik Woodard of Who’s Your Favorite Son God?).
Most of these songs have not been released, or were released for a short period of time (like ‘gloom prarie’ and ‘Dallop O Dallas’ which made up the half of a split 7” between Alas, alak, Alaska! and Whitman on Folktale Records and the chorused the animals EP that came out as part of Nightpass Record’s ‘Quilt Series’).
