Current Trends

Of late, i've become infatuated with electro-acustic and musique concrete.

But, a persisting search is that for music made entirely by the human body. So long as the material recorded is of this sort, I don't mind if it's remixed by machine, if it's produced first and only by the body.

I'm always open to recomendations.

whoaaaaa! OK, now I'm wondering if I can put a sticker on my driver's license to show I'd like to donate my thigh bones to a Buddhist temple!

jessibird, that'd be quite a drum!...and hey you've got a neat list of favorites there gy, this Tom Woxom is cool! Glad you're enjoying some of that Da ! Heard It label! If you're into vocal sounds -- not necessarily body sounds, but supernatural incantations mixed into musique concrete -- try Harrius :: http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Harrius :: also maybe Fursaxa, much more spacious but still haunting sounds, often w/ vocal loops, in a much more imaginative way than vocal loops are often used today :: http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Fursaxa http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Harrius

I'm intrigued by your quest for body-generated music. So, vocal cords, beatboxing, hambone, handclaps, finger snaps, ...all allowed? I wonder if I could play my hair like a zither. Or if someone could mix my winter coughs and sneezes. I just had a morbid thought: what if someone made a drum out of human bones and skin?!
