suRRism-Phonoethics: End of Year Celebration Mix

image provided by jaan patterson/suRRism-Phonoethics

Rather than "Top [insert number] Best Albums of 2015" we've decided to take a different angle! A few of our steadfast curators and community members have been asked to compile some noteworthy tracks from the past year. Rather than ranking them or adding unnecessary 'clout' to specific albums, artists, or songs, we're sharing these in no particular order. You can decide which ones you like best!

This is the first of an ongoing series. Look for upcoming lists as 2016 draws closer.

Now, a bit about this mix, and who made it:

suRRism-Phonoethics is a non-profit netlabel founded & run by Jaan Patterson, and is currently based in Offenbach, Germany. Specializing in experimental music, spoken word, and unusual compositions of all types, suRRism-Phonoethics routinely releases large compilations under the Classwar Karaoke name. Their official launch was in 2008, and all of their releases are free for download under Creative Commons or Copyleft licenses. Many use CC licenses that contain the Share-Alike clause, which requires others to use the same license on their work, should they use it in a derivative project, remix or video.

Here are 18 weird and wonderful tracks from suRRism-Phonoethics, a longstanding FMA Curator. Listen or download in our handy sidebar player to the right, or see the playlist page for more.
