Mini Profile

Taking part in the demo scene on Amiga during the 90's, Bacalao hasn't dropped the soundtrackers. After multiple collaborations (hip-hop, electro, reggae, flamenco, rock...), electronica became his principal influence. Between the soundtracker and the modern sequencer, he releases his first mini-album on Retinascan in 2004. Consequently, with a laptop and a microphone, he plays his live set oscillating between breaks and 8-bit sounds. Since that, collaborations follow on with many artists on Micromusic.net, bringing in 2005 a second album on Retinascan. In 2006, Midinette Records invites him to release a collection of five titles on their website. In 2007, he contributes to the compilation of Kraftwerk covers by 8-bit/micromusic artists released on Astralwerks (label of Placebo, Fatboy Slim, Phoenix,…). Later, he releases a mini EP announcing the launching of his new solo album on the Midinette label scheduled for 2009.
