Table of the Elements: The Copernicium Festival
The record label Table of the Elements has released a number of groundbreaking releases over its 18-year history, from Tony Conrad's 4-CD set "Early Minimalism" to the 7-CD Charlie Patton box set "Screamin' and Hollerin' the Blues" to countless other individual releases. The Copernicium Festival, celebrating the end of this vital label, will take place May 12 - 14, 2011, at ISSUE Project Room in Brooklyn.
Vital Vox
Artists from the November 12-14, 2010, Vital Vox festival at ISSUE Project Room in Brooklyn. The festival explores the human voice in its solo and ensemble forms across a multitude of genres, primarily through highlighting composer-performers who expand the use of the voice in new and original ways.
Artists include Corey Dargel, Samita Sinha, C. Spencer Yeh, Joan La Barbara, Jen Shyu, Nat Baldwin, Sabrina Lastman, Chris Mann, Takadimi Duo, Audrey Chen, Sasha Bogdanowitsch, and Magic Names.
