The Snake is about the moment at which we find ourselves, a moment where technology’s accessibility, on a global scale, is exponentially increasing the artist’s ability to express themselves how, when, and why they want to. This new ability to create professionally at home (wherever home may be), in conjunction with a global interface of communication, has sparked an influx of music coming from the minds of young artists all over the world whose music previously would have been heard only by them (and maybe their lover) in the shower. This new breed of artist is the very heart and soul of the project, enjoy.

From The Beginning
These are the artists who have been a part of this project since the start of November, 2011.
It is from this first set of musicians where we began to see what The Snake wanted to be for DIY.
A label for the new form of musical interaction from performer to listener.
One that can look beyond, below, above, and around the world for the DIY artist without a voice and bring their music into the hands of you, enjoy.
