FMA year-end mixes: open call
I need Motorama on my mixtape - their album is free but there is no explicit licence, but maybe you could add them. they are awesome! thanks and cheers.
thanks for the tip dyingforbadmusic! Listening now, we'll reach out and see what's possible -- psyched for your mix!
thanks, would be great.
how do I remove a track from mixtape? Is it possible?
ok, I take a look under the hood and everything looks fine for me. the css sprite is available and the block is positioned right (see screenshot) it's just not visible and there is no click action on the empty block.
I use firefox 3.6 on Win7 and checked on Chrome/Iron Browser with the same result. Strange if it works for you...
Hope this helps
cheers
thanks! i was able to recreate the bug, and while we dig in to fix it, and in the meantime, if you zoom in a bunch the X buttons should reappear.
checking out the bestof2010 tag page and there are already a bunch of incredible mixes by ISSUE Project Room, Irene Rible, Doncbruital, XEROXED the Indonesian netaudio ezine, and I know there are a lot more in store!
Here's a mix of my 22 off the top favorites from 2010:
hi everyone -
just posted mine. regards and respect...

ZOLTÁN's standard mix (of FMA tracks) is on the air now at http://radio.net1zen.com:8000/mpd.ogg.m3u
I'll keep you informed about future ZOLTÁN's mixes on Radio Net1zen.
uh-oh
and here's zoltán's 5 cents for 2010:
Here I thought I had a hold on music added to the FMA in 2010, but most of the year-end mixes are bringing a few artists I missed or who I didn't appreciate on the first listen. LOVE IT! The mixes are really promoting the FMA artists.
Respect to each of you for your different approaches, too -- the live sets mix, the "cosmic recollection" mix, the "off the top of my head" mix, the weird and the weird weird mix, all of them! So far, I'm loving all of them. Thank you for these great mixes.
I'm on board with blocSonic who wrote, "I was asked to put together a top 10 mix and I tried... I really did, but it was impossible given the amount of incredible music that's hosted here."
In fact, here's what happened at Oddio Overplay headquarters over the last two weeks:

For 2011, I selected the FMA songs I found myself singing most this year.
2011: Top 11 Songs Sung at Oddio Headquarters
Looking forward to checking out everyone's 2011 year-end mixes!

Well, it's been an eventful year: Tsunami in Nippon, (the) killing of an Arab (loudly celebrated in the US), fires, floods, earthquakes, snowpocalypses and endless wars, poverty & hunger...
Also, in some of the major cities in the US we have revolution of consumers called Occupy on our hands. Pepper sprays vs. tents. Kettling vs. revolution rock. Comic artist vs. some other comic artist. Confused leftist politicians vs. drunk millionaires, memes vs. more memes... and so on 'till death do us part.
Here in Europe, we have gigantic economic crisis coming. Everybody's scared. Nobody knows what tomorrow brings. Evil count Sarcozy & technocrat Angie Merkel override democratic procedures in order to save EURO & eurozone... Expect more looting than occupying, more city & highway crime than traffic jams on the roads to Azzure Coast & more canned food than master chef recipes.
So, my advice is to stay home with the device. Browse & explore vast ocean of FMA free music & listen to the radio 'till they disconnect electricity & interweb.
After that, only campfire, stories from the good old (neon) times and loaded shotgun somewhere in the mountains will keep us strong.
All the best in 2012!

hey @diffuser, awesome recommendations! Really enjoying the Maya Solovéy at the moment (http://mayasolovey.bandcamp.com/).
Of course there is a ton of great CC Music from 2011 that hasn't made its way onto the FMA so it helps to hear what everyone's been digging wherever it may be
Oops, I messed that up some how. Here it is again:

Wow, I completely missed most of these--thanks for sharing. I love that you have Goodbye Kumiko on this list -- such a great band! I'm actually writing up an email interview I did with Michael recently and will be posting that on my FMA blog along with the entire "My Wild Arms" album...
Bonjour everyone.
Just wanted to share my result of the Open-Call best 2011 mix.
There is 20 songs, as i found that 10 was to hard.
Difficult to select songs from the thousands of great stuff, but this exercise, totally makes me want to do some more.
Love and very much respect indeed.

Can you believe it's almost 2011?? Wow...2010 has been sounding pretty awesome, and before time flies by any further let's take a moment to listen back to some of the year's best music.
We're compiling a series of Best of 2010 mixes on the FMA homepage throughout December, made by curators as well as special guests and individual members -- we'd love to hear from you!
The standard format (from which you should feel free to deviate) is a 10 track mix of your favorite mp3s from the FMA library. If you have Creative Commons favorites from this year that aren't already part of the library, let us know so we can add 'em! You could also list up some of your favorite albums, (net)labels, live shows...freeform reflections on the year are encouraged!
here's how to make a mix, and to share it please embed it in this thread and/or tag it as "Bestof2010" + "year-end_lists"
